Been a while hasn’t it. Tch tch. Sorry ’bout that, have been busy, much travel, meetings and surveys. There’s got to be more to life than this but as yet, haven’t found it. I live in hope :o)
Herne Bay today. Lunch at Frasier’s Pie and Mash shop. Lovely. Herne Bay very busy, events in all the main bits. Some pretty ghastly it has to be said but events none the less. What did Thanet have in response? Lark in the Park for the under eights. Great if you’re ……………under eight, I suppose.
Picked up a diary (I’m very anal when it comes to diary entries, have been for 45 years (since I was 10)) yesterday, from 1997. I was on the Maresk Mariner and we were towing the Saipem 7000 to Pointe Noire. The tow didn’t go very well. The entry I’ll quote in a line or two kind of hints at the near disasters we experienced during that eventful voyage.
" The sunrise was brilliant, casting it’s dazzling light, driving away the horrors, and the demons of the night".
Crikey, it must have been bad. Perhaps the 0629 to Cannon Street and endless HIRAs aren’t so bad after all.
