Is it or isn’t it? That was the question so allatsea toddled along to the surgery in Trinity Square to find out. Initially sceptical that an appointment would even be available to him (being a net provider of funds to the government in the days of New Labour tended to put one to the back of the queue for all public sector provided services) but happy to have been proved wrong.
A recent and rapidly growing spot/thing/lump on the back of a hand had caused a bit of worry, but thanks to a three minute examination and cheerful nod, it was deemed nothing to worry about by the medico so all well there then. Thankyou.
Off to Westgate on Sea with memsahib for lunch at the recently opened ‘Pauls Bar and Grill’. Quirkily located in the ‘Westgate Garden Centre’, itself oddly squeezed into a narrow strip between the railway station and the main through road it proved a bit of a find. Smashing little place. Even the clientele turned out to be a pleasant variation from the normal Thanet demographic of ‘loud oaf’, ‘screaming chav single mum’ or ‘moaning elderly Daily Mail reader’. All power to their elbow, or, failing that, their balance sheet.
