Saturday evening and contemplating the first gin of the day. Mobile rings, showing a Norwegian caller. It’s the sytem technician and he needs access to the site. I’m the duty man so into the Nissan and off to south Thanet.
Crikey, it’s pouring down, by the lorryload. The timing’s all wrong and the lemmings from Westwood Cross are heading home en masse. Gosh, there seemed to be about 50 million people on the move, all on the A254, in my way :o) So be it. Saturday in a rainy Thanet, that’s what we all seem to do these days. Shop at Westwood Cross (or Bluewater or the Metro Centre ad infinitum….all ghastly places).
Ramsgate Harbour on the other hand is proving remarkably peaceful and pleasant, even in the rain. The place is becoming more attractive and endearing with each visit…so far anyway.
