Quiet, ssshhhhh

Blustery day here in Fannit but still no rain of note. Worrying.

One of the hens has gone all broody and daft. Tinternet research suggests she needs to be physically lifted off the eggs and placed near food and drink. All very well for them to suggest that but allatsea does not find chickens (unlike pussymogs) very pickupable. Quite the reverse. There may be trouble ahead.

Quiet night on watch so far tonight. That’s always a concern too. Any minute something ghastly is likely to happen and mayhem to ensue. Maybe this time it’ll just be quiet for the duration, an exception rather than the rule. Hope so.

Bro’s complaining that Brisbane is very wet compared to Perth. It’s probably very wet compared to Margate. Everything here’s going brown in the gardens, and dieing. Horrid. Come on rain, please. Seemingly in the southeast we’ve had less than 10% of our normal rainfall this year. The jocks, scousers and woolywelsh though, have had more than their normal fall (isn’t it always the way?). I can see more trouble ahead. Forget oil and wind resources, the Scots could make a fortune holding us fine English sorts down sarf to ransom over a reliable water supply. It’s a worrying thought indeed. Alec Salmond in charge of that. Crikey!!! Doesn’t bear thinking about.

End of the English footy season today. Ten weeks and it starts again. Hmmm. Groan.

About allatsea

Sixty year old master-mariner. Absolutely gorgeous. Well wedged.....when compared to a Nairobi street urchin. Sorted, in that I haven't been in court recently. Hopelessly optimistic, terminally disappointed. Good with cats and other fluffy things. No musical talent. Generous to a fault provided it's someone else's round. Political centreist with far right and left viewpoints. A green activist from the hydrocarbon position with nuclear leanings. Averse to avarice but always happy to receive lottery wins, gifts, windfalls, legacies, prizes and wet sloppy kisses.
