The kids have gone back to school (Hooooray) and the streets of Westbrook are deserted again (hooooray). This may have more to do with the first rush of Autumnal weather rather than the fact that the little darlings are all tucked up in class, whatever the reason though, it’s nice to feel the road outside belongs to the residents rather than half of Kent and fair old slice of southeast London. Don’t begrudge all the outoftowners pouring into the area to use the local beaches (which are very nice and no mistake your honour) but it does make it hard work to live here at times and I’m always glad when September cometh. Thank you Lord of endofsummerholidays.
Bro has reported in from Oz and seems to be dealing with all the topsy turviness of recent months quite well. The lads do too, thankfully. I do feel for them bless ‘em.
A few words of appreciation due here the peeps at PC World Thanet for spending a good 20 minutes rooting out the last copy of AVG antivirus software in the stockroom (two PCs for two years!!) at a super sale bargain price for me. Thanks lads. It still doesn’t make up for you wiping the entire contents of allatsea netbook’s hard drive when all I wanted you to do was remove one little itty bitty Trojan but it’s a start and I appreciate your efforts. There is at least, hope. I hope.
