There once was an ugly duckling.

Good morning good morning good morning.

As a resident of the Isle du Fannit I’m feeling a tadge more cut off from the rest of the world than usual. Yes indeed, deep sighs of relief all round.

The M2’s got a big hole in it and the railway betwixt  the Medway area and Lundunn Tarn has been ‘landslipped’. Crikey, they’ll be running paddle steamers between Margate Pier  and the smoke again, they’ll need to at this rate. Transport bedlam and no mistake.

As long as the Morrisons/Waitrose/Aldi/Tesco/COOP/ASDA/Lidl/ Sainsburys food lorries can reach us, all will be well. The ‘towers’ is well stocked with dry stores, and the freezers are full but the beer/cider/wine/gin stocks are low and that’s a  cause for concern. It is in the the house anyway. I did discover several case  of homemade beer buried under a large sack of rice in the larder but the scribbled date on the box indicates its been there more than two years and will probably….sadly….be undrinkable. Deep gloom.

Rescued cat formerly known as ‘big bad ugly angry tomcat’ BBT for short, has turned into cutesy wootsy ‘I want to lay on your lap all day and purr’ cat. He’s lovely and all this typing a blog post malarkey is putting him off his his reverie. I must away.

Below, a picture of yours truly 2nd from  left, circa 1981……….where on earth did that come from?

About allatsea

Sixty year old master-mariner. Absolutely gorgeous. Well wedged.....when compared to a Nairobi street urchin. Sorted, in that I haven't been in court recently. Hopelessly optimistic, terminally disappointed. Good with cats and other fluffy things. No musical talent. Generous to a fault provided it's someone else's round. Political centreist with far right and left viewpoints. A green activist from the hydrocarbon position with nuclear leanings. Averse to avarice but always happy to receive lottery wins, gifts, windfalls, legacies, prizes and wet sloppy kisses.
