Darn in Dover at the Bluebirds this coming Saturday (7th June) they’re holding an all day Blues festival. Here at the towers the team were looking forward to the bash…indeed they were. But what happens when you’re looking forward to sumfink good? The great lord of bugger rains on your parade.
In this case the rain has taken the form of a pointless survey of suitability of a ship that is still being built!! Our tick-box world of marine assurance is going crazier and more asinine by the day. Time for a change me-thinks. If the under-writers were to sit down and think about it for more than half a minute they’d laugh and then they’d cry. I know I am.
Back in Blighty at the very finest of locations, Westbrook, the clouds are gathering (and not in the metaphorical sense) and that is always good news. No parking chaos from the ghastly outoftarners when there’s no sun to be had, hip hip hip hooray. This outlook does have a bit of down side of course, it means that the Westbrookers are only truly happy when it’s hacking down with rain, blowing a gale or the place is enveloped in thick fog. Doesn’t make for a great deal of happiness overall come to think of it. Anyway, we’ll enjoy the lack of road chaos while we can. There’s a consensus that we’re in for a very fine summer……groan.
