Westbrook and Margate

The following pics taken with a Lumix TZ55 on Tuesday January 27th.

Westbrook Bay, low water, deserted, gorgeous.

Margate main sands, delightfully free from crowds, noise and litter. Always at its best in Winter.

The Nayland Rock Hotel viewed at its most alluring.

Another view of the Nayland. Hmmm, doesn’t get any better does it!?

A very fine view and look at that lovely rail and bespoke lamp.

Looking closer at that ‘bespoke’ lamp reveals Thanet wit and charm at its finest.

Unsure if the sand bund is to protect the seafront from winter weather damage or it’s intrinsic evidence that Fannit has a ‘trench warfare’ mindset.

This van turned up and parked at the mast. The driver had access through the security barrier so seemingly is sanctioned to park there by TDC. The driver got out, changed into cycling Lycra, took a bike out of the back of the van and cycled merrily off Westwards. All very nice for those lucky enough to have friends in ‘high’ places.

About allatsea

Sixty year old master-mariner. Absolutely gorgeous. Well wedged.....when compared to a Nairobi street urchin. Sorted, in that I haven't been in court recently. Hopelessly optimistic, terminally disappointed. Good with cats and other fluffy things. No musical talent. Generous to a fault provided it's someone else's round. Political centreist with far right and left viewpoints. A green activist from the hydrocarbon position with nuclear leanings. Averse to avarice but always happy to receive lottery wins, gifts, windfalls, legacies, prizes and wet sloppy kisses.
