Pin piles, covers and barrels

There they be, four pin piles, four covers.

Use once and throw away, the pin pile template.

Baby ILT for the covers installation, gorgeous ickle thing.

Stabbing one of two ILTs into the template lift rigging  prior to installation.

First time used in anger, combined ILT and vibro-hammer. Impressive in use  but awkward to handle they said.

Job done, template on its way to the scrapyard.

Barrel one being ‘sherry’ soaked prior to adding 8 litres of scotch and a 5 month ageing process in oak.

Barrel two being water soaked in the backyard prior to filling with good stuff.

About allatsea

Sixty year old master-mariner. Absolutely gorgeous. Well wedged.....when compared to a Nairobi street urchin. Sorted, in that I haven't been in court recently. Hopelessly optimistic, terminally disappointed. Good with cats and other fluffy things. No musical talent. Generous to a fault provided it's someone else's round. Political centreist with far right and left viewpoints. A green activist from the hydrocarbon position with nuclear leanings. Averse to avarice but always happy to receive lottery wins, gifts, windfalls, legacies, prizes and wet sloppy kisses.
