Margate Roads with a bit of Viz

Product tanker ‘Torm Gunhild’ anchored in Margate Roads and enjoying a respite from the gales of late.

‘Torm Gunhild’ and ‘Big Lift’s ‘Happy Delta’ plus a deserted promenade.

Viewed from the harbour arm, the Turner Contemporary, RNLI boathouse and Margate Yacht Club’s boatyard.

Well weathered sandstone steps on the harbour arm.

Thrown into the mix to make a contrast, transferring from a crewboat to the SSCV Thialf, west of Shetland summer of 2015. I’m amused by the requirement to wear a life-jacket rather than a parachute.

About allatsea

Sixty year old master-mariner. Absolutely gorgeous. Well wedged.....when compared to a Nairobi street urchin. Sorted, in that I haven't been in court recently. Hopelessly optimistic, terminally disappointed. Good with cats and other fluffy things. No musical talent. Generous to a fault provided it's someone else's round. Political centreist with far right and left viewpoints. A green activist from the hydrocarbon position with nuclear leanings. Averse to avarice but always happy to receive lottery wins, gifts, windfalls, legacies, prizes and wet sloppy kisses.
